Gold — Dream Meaning
The imperishable — gold means true worth, the incorruptible core, and fortunes graded afterward by what their finders do with them.
What it means to dream about gold
Gold is value that does not rust, and dreams treat it as the imperishable part of things: true worth, the self's incorruptible core, treasure in the oldest sense. Finding gold is the fortune genre at full splendor — but tradition has always asked the follow-up: gold found must be carried, guarded and eventually spent or buried, and the dream's later scenes grade the finder's wisdom. Gold jewelry narrows the symbol to adornment and bond: worth worn, promises gilded.
Stolen gold is value betrayed at the vault level. Gold that turns to leaves or dross in the hand is the fairy-tale audit: apparent fortune revealing its true composition on inspection — a deal, a suitor, a scheme whose gold was gilding. Burying gold is the hoarder's dream: worth withdrawn from circulation, safe and useless, awaiting an heir who may be your own future.

The psychological view
In Jungian terms gold is the Self's incorruptible core — the value in a person that no season of loss can corrode.
DreamDictionary readings draw on traditional folklore and modern dream psychology. They are prompts for reflection, not predictions — the feeling a dream leaves you with is usually its most honest part.
