Stranger — Dream Meaning
The messenger with no name — strangers mean unmet parts of yourself, unexpected help, or fears approaching in a borrowed face.
What it means to dream about stranger
The stranger is dreamland's favorite messenger: a face assembled from spare parts, carrying a message that required anonymity. Tradition assigns the stranger by feel — the threatening stranger is an unacknowledged fear or a disowned part of the self approaching; the kind stranger is help from an unexpected quarter, or a capacity of your own you have not been introduced to yet. Jung's school named the male stranger in women's dreams and the female in men's as the unknown half of the self, courting introduction.
A stranger in your home localizes the visitor: something unfamiliar has taken up residence in your life. A stranger who knows your name reverses it — the unknown knows you. The stranger you follow, or who follows you, sets the dream's central negotiation in motion: pursuit as curiosity, pursuit as dread — the direction of the following is the interpretation.

The psychological view
In Jungian terms the stranger is the unmet self — qualities disowned or undeveloped, arriving in person to be introduced.
DreamDictionary readings draw on traditional folklore and modern dream psychology. They are prompts for reflection, not predictions — the feeling a dream leaves you with is usually its most honest part.
